Spellbinders Labels Dies

Hard to believe that the month of January is almost over!  Time to start thinking about summer, right?  Maybe not just yet, but this summery basket weave is a sure inspiration for summer time activities.

Materials:
Paper: Graphic45 Domestic Goddess "Simple as Pie"
Kraft paper and Paper Cut cardstock
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink "Tea Dye" and "Fired Brick"
Spellbinders: Labels 5 and Ribbon Tag Trio
Stamp: Unity

I had several strips of paper leftover from a previous project, so I decided to put them to use.  I inked each strip on the long end and then wove them together.  After glueing the pieces together to keep them in place (yes, this took a little while) I cut it to fit the shape of my card front.  A few bits and pieces more and you have yourself a summery card.  Thinner strips would work pretty well too but would take a little longer to keep in place for the weaving.  A GREAT TIP for the weaving.....use the Craft Mat with some double sided tape so you can peel it up when necessary! Worked wonderfully for me!!  Love that Ranger Craft Mat.
