Just Rite Stampers single letters

Another EXTRAVAGANZA project.  This was fun!!  I had an idea for a card using the hanger clips from Tim Holtz and Santa's beard on it was just the fun addition I needed.  Inside the card says "Santa is Near".

A little past the holiday, but Christmas comes again next year!!!  lol

Have you ever made a bottle topper for gift giving? Christmas has already passed, but New Years and other parties are still coming (at least in my world they are!).  Here is a fun bottle jacket I made for the Busy Elves Extravaganza back in November.

Merry Christmas

A quick post for your Christmas morning.  I made all my tags for the gifts this year and most are a version of the one in the photo.  There are a few differences, but the glitter paper and mirra card are heavily used.  The Tim Holtz "Vintage Noel" die has quickly become my favorite die.  Too bad I must retire it for the year.....or will I?  We will be doing a monthly Christmas Club class each and EVERY month featuring Christmas cards so if you take all the classes each month, you will have plenty of handmade Christmas cards for next year...or just ideas to get you jump started for the season to come.

Have a wonderful day.

ROSETTE die by SIZZIX

You know I love the rosette die from the Tim Holtz for Sizzix line by now...if not, you have been living under a rock.  These rosettes are so easy to make....seconds, just seconds to crank it though, fold and glue.  No scoring (and believe you me, it takes a lot of scoring on those scoring plates to get these babies ready)....it's awesome!

Materials:
     Paper: Paper Cut
Spellbinders: Standard Circle and Large Scallop
Twill ribbon
Stamp: Just Rite
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink "Black Soot" and "Pine Needles"
Sizzix: Rosette Die
Cuttlebug folder "Christmas collection"
Tim Holtz stick pins
Glossy Accents
Crystal Light canister

So, if you still need a gift idea...or at the very least a gift giving container.....this is your post!  I have a lot...a LOT...of these containers in my house.  My hubby drinks up a canisters worth twice a week...you do the math.  I use the canisters for tons of stuff around the house but have found that they make a nice neat container for gift giving of the small kind.  You could give a gift card in one of these with the proper "stuffing" inside or fill with candies or small cookies.  You can figure something out I am sure.  I did an Easter one filled with jellybeans if that helps :)

Bella BLVD and MY MIND'S EYE

My Christmas cards for the year....well some of them.  I can never make too many of one type, I have to have variety.  For the cards I mail out though, I do want something flat...mailable....so I don't have to pay extra postage.  This is a simple design with no extra bulkiness.

Materials:
Paper: BELLA BLVD and MY MIND'S EYE "Kraft"
Paper Cut cardstock and metallic cardstock
Stamp: Inkadinkadoo
Ink: Tim Holtz Seasonal Series FALL Distress Ink "Gathered Twigs"
Snowflake die (Cuttlebug...old old one)

I love this kraft paper line from My Mind's Eye.  Such rich colors.  The little houses in the Bella Blvd line were just right for this happy winter scene.  Simple snowflakes finish the look.

Reindeer Flight

The last card version of my 12 Tags of Christmas.  Got a day off on my projects...but here it is.

Tuesday, December 13, 2011

Butterfly kisses

I got to play with my reverse stamp from STAMPERS ANONYMOUS with a new embossing folder from DARICE.  We have had this one in the store for a while...as a matter of fact, it has been ordered in several times.

Materials:
     Paper: Paper Cut cardstock
Punch: Martha Stewart foliage
DARICE embossing folder
Stampers Anonymous folder
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink "Vintage Photo" and "Walnut Stain"
Burlap

I pulled strands for the ends of a burlap sack to get the strands for the "ribbon" which is why they are a bit wavy.  The fun part of this card is using my reverse words stamp on the inside of the butterfly folder....awesome  fun!

Rosette Die from SIZZIX Alterations

Interesting design element Tuesday on the Tim Holtz blog....paint and metal.  Check out Tim's version here.  I used some Silver Mirracard for the Rosette and letters. A Spellbinders label and a Just Rite stamp to finish off my card.

Sizzix Snowman Die and Bling

Here we are with my version of day 4's Tag from the Tim Holtz 12 Tags of Christmas 2011.  You may have noticed that I am attempting to do all of the "tags" in a card version.

This one has a ton of techniques on it and you should check out this link for the full details.  I could never explain them as well as T!M.  I must say I am glad I purchased the Winter Seasonal Series inks...they are perfect for this wintery theme.

I had to borrow this one from the stores collection of materials...but I really like this die.  We made a really pretty rose with it too.....maybe I will show it to you after the 12 Tags hubbub is over.....enjoy!

TIC TAC cards

How fun are these?  Using the PAZZLES and a little time.....I created these cute jackets for a Tic Tac gift from an example we found on a recent shopping trip.  These could be done for all sorts of themes.....we have Snowman Poop and Christmas Tree seeds above......

Today at 12:01 am was the start of the Tim Holtz 12 Tags of Christmas 2011....so I my hope over the next 12 days is to show you MY version of his inspiring Tag. I for one am not staying up to see them at midnight...but it will be the first blog I check over the next twelve days.

Check out his blog here if you want to play along.
