Die-namics Rainbow Die

I still had some leftover rainbow bits from a project I did back in early October, so I decided to throw a few on here to see what would happen....and it turned out pretty funky!

Materials:
Paper: SEI and Paper Cut cardstock
Spellbinders: Standard circle
Die-namics: Rainbow Die
Stamp: Great Impressions
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink "Black Soot"

I bought this paper for the green striping on the other side, but I rather liked the funky swirls on this side when I was playing with my papers.  I had my little stash of rainbow bits and started to arrange them around the circle I cut in the middle of the card.  This was a lot of fun to create....it just sort of happened!

Ballet Girl page

So, you are probably wondering why I did a ballet page.....a girl ballet page?  I have been busy behind the scenes working on tons of samples for the BUSY ELVES EXTRAVAGANZA we are having on November 12th.  I think I have 10 samples or so that I have for that event that have to be kept under wraps until the big party reveal.  Once this party takes place I will have tons of samples flooding the blog!

Materials:
     Paper: Karen Foster patterned paper
World Win and Paper Cut cardstock
Ribbon: A*Muse
Die Cut: Picture This custom cut
Cuttlebug folder

I did this page with some cute papers we got in last week...it is fun working with pink once in a while.

Gotta Have Heart

What was that question yesterday?  What do you do with bits leftover from a project...make more projects right?  Exactly!  You might remember the rainbow card from  the FAB 5 week on Thursday.  Well, you can't cut out just one little strip of the rainbow without cutting out several.  Why waste those pieces?  I randomly set the remaining pieces on the card front to create a patchwork of color.

Materials:
Paper: My Mind's Eye "Hip Hip Hooray"
     Paper Cut and WorldWin cardstock
Gems: Kaiser Craft
Stamp: Just Rite
Spellbinders: Pennant, Standard Circle, Heart and Scalloped Heart
My Favorite Things RAINBOW die
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink "Black Soot"
Pop-dots

Halloween Spirit

What do you do when you have a bunch of left over created pieces from working on other projects?  Make more projects!  The rosette in the middle of this card was a piece I was trying to use in my FAB 5 week project from Friday, but I decided to go with the smaller ones with the chevron striped paper instead.

Materials:
     Paper: Teresa Collins Halloween papers
     Paper Cut cardstock paper
Sizzix "Rosette" die
Paper Company embossing folder
Tickets and Wood Token: Maya Roads
Spellbinders: Labels 10

Dude

I saw a card using this theme on Pinterest and I loved the idea.  Random strips of paper hanging on a clothes hanger.

Material:
Paper: ECHO PARK, My Mind's Eye, Graphic45,  Fancy Pants and Jillibean Soup
     Paper Cut cardstock
Hanger: Tim Holtz
Brad: Making Memories

The original card I saw used wire twisted into the hanger shape, but why do that when you can just open a package of Tim Holtz hanger clips?  The random strips of paper can be just about anything, but a small design does work best.  Add a nice sentiment and you have a great guy card....Father's Day or whatever!

FAB 5 Day 5

 Front of the treat bag
Back of the treat bag...or ...could be the front, you choose...hehe
A close up of the closure tag

Materials:
     Paper: Teresa Collins Halloween papers
     Paper Cut cardstock
Twine: The Twinery "Charcoal"
Sizzix: "On the Fence", "Rickety House" and "Rosette" dies
Pinking Sheers
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink "Vintage Photo"
Paper Bag

With fall here....(this warm weather does not say that).....I started thinking of Halloween.  Since we live out in the boonies....I don't get a whole lot of kids visiting my house on Halloween.  For those that do visit, I usually make it worth the drive.  I made a small box out of cardstock for the bottom of the bag.  I used the "On the Edge" die to make the fence cuts and then folded up the ends to create the base.  After glueing the house to the bag I inserted it into the box, adhering the bottom of the bag to the box.  I used a clothes pin to make the closure for the bag by attaching the tags to the pin ends.  So simple, so easy.

FAB 5 Day 4

Bright and cheery again this morning....can you beat that sun?  This morning we are working with the My Favorite Things product line.  They have some awesome dies and stamps that coordinate with them. Fun stuff.

Materials:
     Paper: WorldWin cardstock
Pink Paislee, Cosmo Cricket and My Mind's Eye
My Favorite Things Tree and Rainbow dies
Sizzix "On the Fence" die
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink "Vintage Photo", "Antique Linen" and "Tea Dye"
Pop-dots

I love this rainbow die from My Favorite Things.  It actually has more layers that cut out, but I only used 5 of them.  That way you can make a larger rainbow or a smaller one like I did...all use all 7 layers!  This would make a nice cheery card to send someone in the hospital or just a nice thinking of you card.

FAB 5 Day 3

It's BLING kinda day!  The sun is shining and the gems are brighter!  I had this homecoming page from Freshman year to work on so I thought a little bling on it would be ok.

Materials:
Paper: Basic Grey: Out of Print; Daily News and Bit's 'N Pieces
     Bazzil cardstock
Bling: Want2Scrap
Stickers: Basic Grey (homecoming) and Cosmo Cricket (tag)
Pop-dots

The journaling and photos are blurred for the kids protection....except my son....I got rights to him...hehe.  The bling swirl was cut in half basically with one end on the upper left and the other end trailing out from under the right corner flower.

FAB 5 Day 1

FIVE products
in FIVE days
with tons of inspiration!

We were working with the JUDITH stamps for today's project.

Materials:
Paper: WorldWin, Bazzil and Paper Cut cardstock
Stamp: Judith "Ribbon" stubby
COPIC MARKER "R83"
Pop-dots
Stickers: SRM
Bling: HERO ARTS
Spellbinders: Standard Circle
Square Punch from Paper Shapers

I took some inspiration from a card I saw on the internet.  I used my square punch for the little squares...even though I do have a Spellbinedrs die that would do the same....gotta keep all my toys happy with use right? OCTOBER is BREAST CANCER AWARENESS Month, so I wanted to do a nice card for those who have beat the disease and for those who are putting up the good fight.

Lil' helper

I had the opportunity to work with some photos of a handsome young man who is especially close to our PT hearts.  (photo is blurred for his protection)

Materials:
Paper: My Mind's Eye "Little Robots"
     We R Memory Keepers "Fall"
Paper Cut and World Win cardstock
Spellbinders: Inverted Circle and Standard Circles
Stickers: My Mind's Eye "Lime Twist"
Die Cut: Picture This

Every once in a while it is nice to use some different photos....especially of handsome little guys...my teens are not as interested in photo taking anymore, so it is nice to do some pages of the little people.
