Merry Christmas

A simple card with some wintery colors

Materials:
     Paper: Paper Cut cardstock
     LilyBeeDesigns Christmas
Spellbinders:  Fair Isle
Ribbon: May Arts
Bling: HERO ARTS
Stamp: JUST RITE
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink "Broken China"

I love this new paper we got in from LilyBeeDesigns...cuteness abounds.  I went with a simple design with my Spellbinders die....it is SOOOO easy to make something beautiful out of plain cardstock with a Cuttlebug folder or a Spellbinder die.  I can't tell you how much I love my Cuttlebug machine...best investment EVER.

Just so you know, the CUTTLEBUG machine that we all know and love has gone through a re-vamp and we only have a couple more of the original ones left for purchase at PICTURE THIS in EAU CLAIRE, Wisconsin.  The new version is good, but we love the original and a few things have been changed, including the price. Just a little FYI for you.

Holiday Cards

This is a card from last nights Vintage Card class.  I have two more cards coming over the next two days from that class.

Materials:
     Paper: Paper Cut cardstock
     Graphic45 patterned papers
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink "Black Soot" and "Peeled Paint"
Spellbinders "Ribbon Tag Trio 2"
Stamps: Just Rite
Ribbon: May Arts
Stickles

The card is pretty simple with the layering and papers. We used the Just Rite Christmas stamps and a rubbing technique for the label.  The angels on top are hand cut and pop-dotted above the sentiment label.

I have another class next Tuesday using Stampers Anonymous Stamps and the Tim Holtz Sizzix dies.
I might have more room in that one, but will have to cut it off soon.  Call 715-830-9555 to get registered for the Artsy Card Class with DawnW.  $8.50

The Reverse

Like I said yesterday....I made a card that is the reverse of yesterday's card.....same idea, slight changes.
Materials:
Paper: My Mind's Eye "Fine & Dandy: Pleasant and Snappy" patterned papers
WorldWin and Paper Cut cardstock
Spellbinders: Lacey Circles and Fancy Labels
Button: Lil' Davis
Flower: Lil' Davis
Ribbon: May Arts
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink "Spiced Marmalade"
Stamp: JUST Rite

So the only thing I kept the same are the dot panels on the top layer...all the rest is either the reverse side of the paper or a different shape.

Scalloped Birthday

Do you ever have a hard time coming up with a name for these blog titles....well....I apparently am running on empty for titles...lol

Materials:
PapeR: My Mind's Eye "Fine & Dandy: Pleasant and Snappy" patterned papers
     WorldWin and Paper Cut cardstock
Spellbinders: Eyelet Squares and Standard Square
Gems: Kaiser Craft
Ribbon: May Arts
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink "Walnut Stain"
Stamp: JUST Rite

I found a sketch on several blogs that I decided to give a shot at....that is half the battle for a card or a layout....the sketch to follow.  With all that is going on it is hard to come up with the ideas much less the patterned papers and other accessories to go with it.  I used my new "Eyelet Square" that I purchased at Picture This in Eau Claire for the main focus in the center and then built the card around it.  Love the double sided papers.....and you'll see a reverse card for this tomorrow......stay tuned.
