Spooky Dance

My niece and her "Spooky Dance"

Materials:
Paper: Little Yellow Bicycle "Skull Ledger"
We R Memory Keepers "Heebie Jeebies"
Felt Ribbon: WeR Memory Keepers
Rosette: Tim Holtz for Sizzix
Fence: Tim Holtz for Sizzix
Sticker: Crate Paper

The morning after Halloween.  This paper from Little Yellow Bicycle was perfect with that little bit of purple in it...matches the purple shirt my niece is wearing.  A little bit of spider web paper and another rosette....loving that die...and you have a fun page.  The fence along the edge in black was made using another Tim Holtz Die...you have to run it through the machine a couple times to get a full 12 inch length.  The word sheet from WeR was perfect to cutting out a few words for placement on the page.

Witchin' you a Happy Halloween

A fun card I just had to share! I was playing with my SIZZIX spider pop-up die and the new felt tape/ribbon from WeR and a little surprise on the inside.....so cute!!

A close-up view of the front panel with the Just Rite stamps and a few layers of different Spellbinders.
The inside view of the spooky spider web......
And my little bling spider.....gotta have a little sparkle!!  Black Diamond STICKLES does the trick.

Materials:
     Paper: Paper Cut cardstock
WeR Memories Keepers and ? patterned papers (double sided gives you double the fun!!)
Spellbinders:   Standard Circle, Lacey Scallop Circle and Snowflake
Sizzix: Pop-Up spider
STICKLES: Black Diamond
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink "Black Soot" and "Spiced Marmalade"
Felt Ribbon: WeR Memory Keepers "Heebie Jeebies" collection
Brads: Making Memories

The felt ribbon is super fun to use.....it is adhesive backed so no trying to figure out how to attach it!!  The die for the spider web and spider is super easy to use as well, just follow the instructions on the package. Basically a lot of layers and great Halloween colors and you have a card with a little "wow" inside.  Just to let you know though....only one of those dies was left in the store when I worked Friday....

Determination

Another page with a runner...this time my younger runner.

Materials:
     Paper: Sport's & more (golf)
     Basic Grey
My Mind's Eye die cuts
Tickets and Bingo Card: Jenni Bowlin
PAZZLES die cut stars
Brad: My Mind's Eye
Sticker: MOXXIE
Sizzix Film Strip Die (Tim Holtz Collection)

I know, you are wondering why golf paper?  Well, this is the backside of the "golf" paper....the colors were a deeper green than the "running shoes" paper of the same type (which I have used before).  I cut the stars out with the PAZZLES cutter and arranged them on the paper with my other elements.  I just found some stuff that worked with the green theme.

Easter

Yup, Easter pages.  My boys were good sports and put on their cousins bunny ears for this photo of them Easter morning.  We were out of town this year and the bunny had to "deliver".

Materials:
Paper: Flair, My Mind's Eye and ?
Tags: My Mind's Eye
Frames: Cuttlebug
Film Strip ribbon: Tim Holtz
Buttons: Basic Grey
Ribbon: May Arts
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink "Vintage Photo"
Stickers: Crate Paper

The main background sheet for this page is from a FLORABELLA line in a paper I cannot remember....but the backside had the perfect shades of brown,  blue and pink with the chocolate wash to it.  I used the chocolate squares paper for the little cut out chocolates....even though they didn't get any chocolate candy.....and then added the small die cut elements to the outside edges.  I inked the edge of the "brothers" frame with ink to give it a little more "pop" from the page colors.  Title and date are added with the Tiny Type letters.

Merry and Bright

More Christmas cards for the collection

Materials:
     Paper: WorldWin cardstock
     My Mind's Eye "LUSH" collection
Spellbinders: Labels
ribbon: May Arts
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink "Barn Door"
Stamps: Just Rite and Inkadinkadoo Mini's

I loved the funny santa on this mini stamp collection (for only $1) and decided to combine it with my new Just Rite set. Since all the papers in the LUSH line are coordinated with each other, that made the rest a breeze!.  On  the inside of the card I used the UPC bar from one of the papers across the top..nothing goes to waste!

Summer at the Shack

Photos of the guys hunting shack during the summertime....and it is a shack.  No running water (except the creek), wood heat and rope beds....you get the picture....rustic!  Give me a nice hotel any day.

Materials:
Paper:   Basic Grey "Wander: Relocate" and "Boxer: Henley"
     Paper Cut COCO cardstock
StickerS: Doodlebug, Rocky Mountain Stickers, Tim Holtz Salvage Stickers, Crate Paper
and My Mind's Eye
Tickets: Making Memories "Travel"

I loved the green and brown circles in this patterned paper (double sided) since they are a little different from the normal brown and green combo.  Match that with a few stickers and you have a complete layout.

From all of us

Another Christmas card.....

Materials:
Paper: Graphic45 Christmas Past and Domestic Goddess
     WorldWin cardstock
     Paper Cut cardstock
     CORE'dinations
Spellbinders: Tag Trio
Cuttlebug: Ironworks
String: May Arts
Stamp: A*Muse Holiday 2010 Collection

A simple card using the pattern in the paper for the design.  The little "stamp" look in the pattern was easy to work around for the block style.  Plus, the doublesided papers make for easy matching.

She's Original

Fun!!  I loved playing with some of my goodie pile I have at home...and you can imagine the kind of pile I have here.....I could almost open a scrapbook store.....almost...hehe.

Materials:
     Paper: My Mind's Eye
     Paper Cut cardstock
Sizzix: Filmstrip
Die cut: My Mind's Eye
Bingo Card: Jenni Bowlin
Flowers: Prima
Buttons: Basic Grey
Wings: Maya Road
Frame: My Mind's Eye
Ink: Tim Holtz distress ink "Vintage Photo" and "Antique Linen"
Glimmer Mist

Lots and lots of goodies on here.  A mix of older papers and embellies and some brand new stuff too.  The buttons, die cut tag and frame is from an older collection that we still have a few pieces left of...so you can still get them.....and the other parts are from the new collections.  I love how the papers in My Mind's Eye work together...no matter how old the collection is. I used the Glimmer Mist on the acrylic wings, just a few spritz's with a red and blue color, leaving some pink and light blue/gray splotches.  I will put in a little journaling later.

School Photos

So what do you do with those group school photos?  In my kids books they are the start to each years photo set.  This is my oldest child's group photo.....he is a Junior now, so you know how far behind I am!  The kids faces and names are blurred, but you get the idea!

Materials:
Paper: Crate Paper "School Spirit Collection"
Tickets: Tim Holtz Adage Tags
Sticker: American Crafts
Tim Holtz Distress Ink "Vintage Photo"

Seems like a lot of stuff on this page, but it really isn't.  Since there is a lot of clutter in the photos themselves I decided to keep things uniform with matching papers.  The "report card" that holds the info is actually part of the background paper that was going to be covered up anyway, so I cut it out.  The strip that runs across the middle of the group photo is the border strip from the paper line. Love it when you can use up all those little bits!!

Season's Greetings?

Fall is a Season right?  So why not use the Season's Greetings sentiment for more than just Christmas?

Materials:
     Paper: Graphic45 "Hallowe'en in Wonderland: You're Late"
     WorldWin cardstock
Corner punch
Spellbinders: Fancy Labels
Ink: "Rusty Hinge" Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Cuttlebug "Preserves" embossing set
Pop-dots

I decided to go with a different card shape this time around by cutting off the front short and letting the inside show.  The sentiment across the front is full size so it overhangs and adds a little more interest to the different shape.  I had a new set of Christmas stamps from JUST RITE to play with and I thought it would be fun to use it!  Why save it? Simple layering with cardstock and you have a finished card.

The RIDE ALONG

Racing is a theme in our house.....racing of all kinds.  This racing involves actual NASCAR race cars. The guys went to Chicago the first weekend of October and did the PETTY EXPERIENCE at Chicagoland Speedway.  Hubby did the "drive" and the boys did the "ride along" since they were not old enough.

Materials:
     Paper: Lil Davis Checked Flag
     WorldWin cardstock
Stickers: Lil Davis
Spellbinders: Standard Circle
Brads: My Mind's Eye "Abbey Road"

I had a lot of photos to cram into one layout (since I will have to do one for each person) so I decided to use a circle design.  Taking a dinner plate, I traced a circle on black paper and then cut it out, arranged my photos and then did some creative clipping to get them to fit in puzzle style.  The slim strip of paper with the checker and red is the border strip on the large checker pattern paper.  Nothing like using the pieces available to you!  Then I cut out more circles with my Spellbinders to complete the circle theme.

Unity stamps

I had my cute little stamp from UNITY to play with again.

Materials:
     Paper: Basic Grey: WANDER "Relocate"
Paper Cut "Coco", "Jelly Bean Green" and "Via Cream" cardstock
    Button: Basic Grey
Ribbon: May Arts
Hemp string
Stamp: Unity "Owl Always"
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink "Walnut Stain"

When I was looking around for some paper for another project I found this cool circle paper from "Basic Grey"...the perfect papers for outdoorsy pages.  So this time I am actually finished with the card made with the leftovers before the page is completed....but the page is coming in the next few days.  Simple design for the card with several layers of cardstock and a different twist to the ribbon bow.

Christmas card

Another card I made with the Spiral Notebook from Making Memories (which is now sold out)...but for those who bought them, I said I would post the photos of the examples so the ideas would still be somewhere for them to refer to.

Materials:
     Paper: WorldWin cardstock
     Crate Paper Christmas (double sided)
Spiral Notebook: Making Memories
Stamp: Just Rite
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink "Black Soot"
Eyelets: Making Memories

Track.....

And back to track we go.  This is from the 2009 April 13th run.

Materials:
Paper: Sassafrass Lass: "Lost for Words"
     Karen Foster Designs "Runner Blocks"
MOXXIE stickers: "Finish Line"
Cosmo Cricket "Tiny Type"

Not a lot of materials on this page, the Xeroxed newsprint took up a lot of space.  Originally I was going to just cover the majority of the copied newsprint because I only needed the info on the race my son was in, but the times of the other racers he runs against was rather interesting, so I left the track info uncovered.

HOPE, WISH, BELIEVE

A card...a CHRISTMAS card.  Another new toy....another JUST RITE stamp set.

Materials:
       Paper: WorldWin doublemates cardstock
       Donna Salazar patterned paper.
Stickles: Tim Holtz Distress Stickles "Fired Brick"
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink: "Pine Needles"
Brad: Making Memories
Stamp: Just Rite
Acetate: Making Memories Spiral Notebooks "Christmas"

Looks like a lot going on with this card, but the patterned paper is doing most of the work.  On the front of the card the acetate has a snowflake pattern that I overlaid on the print.  The Donna Salazar paper has six designs of 4x6 on both sides giving you twelve different looks.  We were introduced to this paper by Donna Salazar herself during her demo at the CHA Show in July.  She was so excited about the whole line.  We made a cute album with the pieces and then we even got more additional sheets to play with.

LEARNING

More pages.  I took a break from sports pages and did a quick school one with my niece.

Materials:
Paper: We R Memory Keepers "Lunchbox"
Crate Paper: School Spirit Collection "Study Hall" and "Ruler"
My Mind's Eye Die Cut tags
Stars: Sandylion
Stickers: My Mind's Eye: So Sophie "Charming: Simple Things"
Card: October Afternoon
Tim Holtz: Paper Rosette die.

I have a new that I am playing with....the Tim Holtz Paper Rosette die!  Looks like a lot of work, but it is pretty easy.  A lot of little elements at play here: stickers, dies and papers.

Pages

I am making some headway with catching up on the kids pages for their albums.

Materials:
     Paper: Scrappin' Sports "Cross Country"
     Paper Cut cardstock
     MOXXIE: Track Talk
Tickets: Jenni Bowlin
Sticker: MOXXIE Finish Line
Spellbinders: Star
Stamp: Stampers Anonymous "Ultimate Grunge"
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink: "Peeled Paint" and "Shabby Shutters"

I didn't want to cover up too much of the shoes in the patterned paper, so I kept the photos off to the side.    The tickets made a nice journaling spot for the info I wanted on the page.

Owl always have you by my side

These little owls are so darn cute!  I had to get them.  The saying comes with the set but is not attached.....which makes it even better!!

Materials:
     Paper: Shabby Green Door
      Paper Cut Cardstock
Flowers: PRIMA
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink "Walnut Stain"
Stamp: Unity "Owl Always:
Stickles: Fruit Punch

I started with the odd piece of paper that I had left over from another project and used the design in it to start my card.  The flower branch across the top is actually part of the paper, I just added the flowers and Stickles.  I finished the inside of the card with matching paper (double sided paper again....awesome stuff!) to cover that fact that I cut a circle out of the middle of one panel.....it's one way to hide the flaws.

Happy Holidays

Thinking of Christmas?  Yeah, why not.

Materials:
     Paper: Paper Cut cardstock
Ribbon: May Arts
Brads:  Making Memories
Spiral Notebook: Making Memories "Christmas"
Flower: personal stash

I used a flower from a stash of flowers I have in my collection and I know we do not have in the store.  You could make some flowers like it with a Spellbinders poinsettia die and some glitter.  I just enjoy using up some stash once in a while.  My hoarding ways have left me with a ton of goodies that we do not have in the store anymore.  The acetate sheet is from the journaling notebook as well as the "santa's list" paper.  you get 5 of each design in the notebook and I love the whole collection (this I KNOW we have one left of in the store!!)
