Track pages....

I have a ton of photos to catch up on from Track this year...and last year...and the year before.  This is still fresh in my mind, so I am cruising along getting these done.

Materials:
Paper: My Mind's Eye "So Sophie"
      Paper Cut cardstock
Stickers: My Mind's Eye "So Sophie"
Metal Sign : Karen Foster
Ticket: Jenni Bowlin

Simply Celebrate

Materials:
Paper: My Mind's Eye "So Sophie"
     WolrdWin cardstock
Ribbon: May Arts
Stamps: Just Rite (individual alphabet letters)
My Mind's Eye die cut tag sheet "Ooh La La"
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink "Barn Door"

Simple simple card.  The paper is gorgeous all by itself so you don't need to get too creative with it.  I used the letters from my Just Rites to spell out "Celebrate" in the space I had with this particular die cut tag.  The corners on the inside are also from the die cut sheet.   Super easy.

You're invited

Another one of my "in the zone" projects that I created while working on the FAB 5 projects last week.  Like I said, that tag sheet from My Mind's Eye worked for so many things!

Materials:
     Paper: WorldWin cardstock
     My Mind's Eye "LUSH"
Punch: "effervescence"  EKSuccess
My Mind's Eye diecut tag sheet "Ooh La La"
Stamp: Stampendous and "Time Flies" stamp se
ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink "Pine Needles" and "Black Soot"
Pop-dots

I liked the "invite" stamp on the Time Flies set and the who/what/when/where stamp was art of the set too.  Perfect for all kinds of creative stamping and card making.  The delicate line in the LUSH line from My Mind's Eye was the perfect fit for the delicate floral in this stamp.  I kept it simple.

Thinking of you.... PICTURE THIS with COPIC's

Close up view of the coloring.
The inside

And the front.

I could not stop using the tags from the My Mind's Eye sheet we used in the FAB 5 projects!!  Once I got on a roll, I could not stop!

Materials:
Paper: My Mind's Eye "So Sophie" and "LUSH"
WorldWin cardstock
Paper Cut Cardstock
My Mind's Eye diecut sheet "Ooh La La"
COPIC markers
Memento Ink "Tuxedo Black"
Tim Holtz Distress Ink "Black Soot"
Stamp: Just Rite "Custom Card Making Set"

There are tons of tags on this sheet and once I had the coordinating papers I needed for my projects, the whole thing just snowballed from there.  Tags, corners, flowers, photo turns, tickets, frames and more!  For this one I just grabbed my Just Rite stamps.....love them!  and took the center from a 3 inch set for the flower pot.  It is perfect for coloring.

I made a simple cross card with the Nestabilites Cross and the new folder from Cuttlebug

Materials:
     Paper: Metallic cardstock

I like making a monochromatic card with the metallics cardstocks and the crosses from Nestabilities.  So easy to make a pretty card with just simple materials.

FAB 5 Day 5

Today we worked with the Nestabilities Pine Tree as our last project for the FAB 5 week. Can I say I had a blast with this month's projects!  You will be seeing more projects with the materials in the following days.....so stay tuned!

For today though....

Materials:
     Paper: WorldWin cardstock
     Paper Cut Cream Felt Cardstock
     Paper Cut Glossy Cardstock
     My Mind's Eye "LUSH" line
CUTTLEBUG "Winter Wonderland" embossing set
Bling: Hero Arts
Stamp: A*muse
NESTABILITIES "Pine Tree" And "Circle"

I started with the littlest tree for this card.  I have made many projects (check the store) with this tree and I love the versatility.  This is a simple card with a little bit of color on an otherwise monochromatic scheme.  I added a little bling to the glossy paper tree for that added zip.  I also used glossy cardstock for the embossing on the card front for that added shine.  The A*Muse stamp from the Holiday 2010 collection that we had the pleasure of showing you all last week during the A*MUSE*A*PALOOZA event is PERFECT in the space above the tree and into the snowflakes swirl in the embossing.  I used two more Holiday 2010 releases on the inside as well.  You should check these stamps out...a lot of them sold during the big event, but they are so darn cute, who could pas them up? The border strip on the inside of the card is from the cut away label on the My Mind's Eye paper....I can't throw away a thing....lol!

Our last day with our fun team projects for July.  We hope you found a few things to get your creative juices flowing.

Stay tuned to this blog in the following few days for more uses with the Die cut tag sheet and the Time Flies stamp set.

FAB 5 Day 4

Another day, another FAB 5 project that the gang and I have worked on.  How do like having 5 ideas for the product we showcase each day?  Even if you don't use the paper/embellishment/stamp that we use, the ideas are great for a starting point to other craftiness!

Materials:
     Paper: WorldWin cardstock
     My Mind's Eye "So Sophie"
My Mind's Eye tag
Bling: HERO ARTS
Stamp: JUST RITE and Stampendous
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink "Tumbled Glass" and "Peeled Paint"
My Mind's Eye "Ooh La La" accessory sheet
Mini Mister

Fun with die cuts!  We got to work with the die cut accessory sheet from My Mind's Eye for this project.  I pulled out some My Mind's Eye paper and anther die from anther line to put this all together.  Ther eis a ton of cute things on the accessory sheet too....so plan to see more cards with this sheet in future blog posts.  Simple layers on the front and a watercolor effect on the inside.  I stamped the ink pad directly onto the stamp and then misted the inked area with the mini  mister to give it a washed look.

TODAY: did you see the My Mind's Eye tag sheet was used on Monday and Tuesday?  Hmmm, how many ideas is that for one product??

Keep checking back with the FAB 5 all week for a chance to win a basket of goodies including some of the featured products. What do you need to do?  Just leave a comment here or at one of the other FAB 5  Designers to be entered.

FAB 5 Day 3

InsideThe Rub-ons set

How are you enjoying the FAB 5 projects so far?  Well, we always have fun with the papers and products we work with and we really enjoy seeing what others come up with when we do this project.  Since we are working with things other than papers this time there is a really broad range of possibilities.

Materials:
     PapeR: World Win cardstock
Shabby Green Door patterned paper (double sided)
Bling: HERO ARTS
Rub-On's October Afternoon
CUTTLEBUG: Holly Ribbons
Stamp: Just Rite

Today The FAB 5 worked with the OCTOBER AFTERNOON rub-on set.  The bird cage on the patterned paper by Shabby Green door was the perfect compliment to the birds on this Rub-On set.  The rub-ons came off so nice and clean.  The saying on the front also came from the rub-on set.  Inside I stamped with my new Just Rite stampers set.....love them too!

FAB 5 Day 2

Today the featured item is the Time Flies Stamp set.  Tons of great acrylic words on a single sheet!

Materials:
Paper: My Mind's Eye "Dreamy 2: Summer"
     Paper Cut cardstock
My Mind'sEye tag sheet "Ooh La La"
Bling: Kaiser Craft
Ribbon: Offray
Button: Basic Grey
Stamp: "Time Flies" acrylic stamp
Ink: Memento "Tuxedo Black"
Hemp

Doubled sided paper makes life so easy!  I used the pink side for the accent on the front and the green side for the main focus.  Since the label from the My Mind's Eye diecut sheet has a red outline, it would have disappeared when put on red...so green it was.  I used the "Time Flies" Happy Birthday stamp from the sheet to stamp into the middle of the die cut.  I also did this on the inside for the sentiment there.  I wound up a little ribbon and used super Tacky glue to keep it in place.  A few more bits from the tag sheet and you are all set with a birthday card.

TODAY: Did notice the FEATURED Time Flies stamp was used yesterday? That's one......stay tuned to the blog to find out which one is the other one.......or maybe there is more ...lol

Keep checking back with the FAB 5 all week for a chance to win a basket of goodies including some of the featured products. What do you need to do?  Just leave a comment here or at one of the other FAB 5  Designers to be entered.

FAB 5 Day 1

We are kicking off another week of FAB 5 fun with me and gang at Picture This in Eau Claire Wisconsin....check the links to the right if you want check out the store website, store blog or the other Fab 5 gal pals...or click the links below to follow the Fab 5 that way!  Mark us on your favorites for easier access...and don't forget about PICTURE THIS on FACEBOOK.

Materials:
     Paper: WorldWin cardstock
     Paper Cut Cardstock
     GCD patterned paper
     Scenic Route patterned paper
My Mind's Eye die cut sheet "Ooh La La"
Stamp: "Time Flies"
Chipboard: Scenic Route
NESTABILITIES: "Sunflowers Two"
Ribbon: May Arts
Bling: Hero Arts
Memento "Tuxedo Black" ink
Pop-dots

The GCD paper we picked out to kick off this month's FAB 5 is a double sided patterned piece.  One side has flowers and the other a weather pink wood pattern.  It made for an interesting decision on which side to use!!  I settled on both sides!  The weathered side works great on the inside for a simple base for a sentiment or your own handwriting.  The scallop edge from the die cut sheet made the perfect accent for it.  On the front of the card I went with a different cut from the norm.  I trimmed away enough to see the scalloped edge of the inside.  The chipboard "bird" was part of the set from Scenic Route that looked like it would be perfect resting on the little flowers.  I added a Nestabilities "Sunflowers 2" die cut to the back and pop dotted it to the card front.  A little bling on the flowers on the chipboard and you're all set!

I used three Fab 5 products on this card...but you'll have to watch over the next 4 days to see which two they are!

Don't forget to visit with the FAB 5 all week for a chance to win a basket of goodies including some of the featured products. What do you need to do?  Just leave a comment here or at one of the other FAB 5  Designers to be entered.

Congratulations

I saw a tutorial on how to make this paper star and thought how simple it was...why didn't I think of that??  Of course, now that I finally got around to making something out of the star I folded up  I can't find the site I found the idea at to link it up!!  Figures!

Materials:
     Paper: WorldWin cardstock
     My Mind's Eye patterned paper
WeR Memory Keepers Journaling Pad
Nestabilities: Star
Cuttlebug "Star" embossing folder
Brads: Making Memories
Stamp: Just Rite
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink "Rusty Hinge" and "Antique Linen"
Pop-Dot

The background shape for this is the journaling tag from the WeR set.  Makes for a nice background.  The star is cut with the NESTABILITIES.  I then folded the the star in half at each peak and valley.  Do this on all 5 points.  Once you have it folded you just go back and make sure every other fold is either a peak or a valley...it should look like a barn star when you are done.

Cross Country

Bet you thought you wouldn't be seeing these pages for a few more months.....but I have a ton of CC photos to work on.  And Track.....well, I have a ton more track pictures to do too.

Materials:
     Paper: Basic Grey: Basics "Inventory"
      Basic Grey "Origins"
Chipboard Scenic Route
Stickers: SRM Cross Country

A simple layout with a bunch of photos.  I trimmed the photos to 1, 2, 3 and 4 inches as the teams make their way toward where I was standing on the course.

A birthday card

Something a little different.  I am done showing you the A*MUSE*A*PALOOZA stuff for now, but the party continues so don't forget to stop at the store to check out the cute stamps.

Materials:
     Paper: WorldWin cardstock
     BAZZILL cardstock
CUTTLEBUG "Plum Blossom" set
NESTABILITIES: BLossom 2
Stamps: Just Rite
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink: "Milled Lavender" and "Dusty Concord"
Punch: Martha Stewart and EKSucess Big punch
Pearls: Melissa Frances
Pop-Dots

Simple card really.  The embossing makes a nice background for the rest of the card. The design on the edge of the purple dot paper is the way the paper edge is.  I trimmed out what I needed and saved the rest for another project.  The butterflies are punched out of the dot paper and glued in place with the chisel tip double sided glue pen.

From our home to yours

More A*MUSE*A*PALOOZA stamps to share...

This tree is just the cutest thing.  I had to purchase this one for myself!

Materials:
     Paper: Basic Grey "Origins"
      WorldWin cardstock
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink "Vintage Photo", "Forest Moss", "Peeled Paint", "Bundled Sage" and "Walnut Stain"
Brads: Making Memories
NESTABILITIES: Labels One
Stamps: A*Muse Holiday 2010

Basic layers on this card...the fun part is the tree!  The main part of the stamp is the tree trunk which I stamped on the paper.  On the edge of the same stamp is this tiny cluster of leaves!  I just dipped into my inks and went to town with it....oh so much fun!!  The squirrels are also right next to each other, but I inked up one squirrel and stamped it on the right and did the other on the left.  Adding the "from our home to yours" to the front just seemed right with the squirrels divided between the tree (their houses)...lol.  the owl on the inside is colored in with the COPIC markers.

     WorldWin cardstock
Stamps: A*Muse Holiday 2010
F/X metallic powders from Dreamweavers
Punch: Martha Stewart

I stamped my headstones with VersaMark and then took my paint brush and swiped on a little F?X metallics to give the stones a little pop from the black hills.  I used pop-dots on the fence to give the fence a little dimension too.

Something good to eat....

..not for me....but for a cat

The A*MUSE*A*PALOOZA reveal continues...this time with a HALLOWEEN card.

Materials:
     Paper: Paper Cut cardstock
     Reminisce Halloween papers (double sided)

So I have been sharing all the cards I created for the A*MUSE*A*PALOOZA release this week and you can see the real life samples in the store along with the new stamps from A*MUSE.  I had the sheet of paper with the kitties on it ready to go from yesterday's project and the mice stamp in hand when I thought of the "something good to eat" as the perfect combo for a card.....like chocolate for me, a kitty likes a big juicy mouse as a treat...I had to laugh....haha...ok, maybe I am the only one who thought that was funny....

Sinful Sweets....

More A*MUSE*A*PALOOZA release stamps to share with you today....and how SWEET they are!

Materials:
    PapeR: Reminisce Halloween line
Stickers: Reminisce
Ink: Memento Black
Ribbon: May Arts
Stamps: A*MUSE!
NESTABILITIES: Circle and Blossom 2
Pop-dots
COPIC markers

My project today is my yummy Halloween treat...a giant candy bar.  Since I live out in the boonies we do not get many Trick or Treaters visiting, so I make sure they are well rewarded for making the trek out there.  I wrapped the bar with the cute orange and black houndstooth paper and then stamped the "sinful sweets" on the cute web sticker from the Reminisce sticker sheet.  I stamped my little owl witch and colored her in with the COPICS...I even tried the colorless blender but had a little trouble getting the color to come outof the black outfit...I guess I will have to keep working on that.  So there you have it....a fun treat with those adorable A*MUSE stamps!

A*MUSE*A*PALOOZA kick off!

We are kicking off the A*MUSE*A*PALOOZA Holiday 2010 Stamp release with a blog full of the fun things I created during the crafting frenzy we had getting ready for the release!

Materials:
     Paper: My Mind's Eye "Lush"
Tag: My Mind's Eye
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
COPIC Markers
Pop-Dots
CUTTLEUBG embossing folder
Pearls: HERO ARTS
Stamps: A*MUSE Holiday 2010
NESTABILITIES : Rectangle Scallop

I was having fun creating with the new stamps this year, I could not decide which ones were the cutest...they are all so fun!  The papers from the My Mind's Eye LUSH line were perfect with the My Mind's Eye tag...funny how that works?.....anyway......just by taking the simple tag and putting the words on the upper corner, a little bling in the lower corner....you have yourself a cute little Christmas Card!  Of course, I colored the bird (or is it the partridge from the pear tree or something else....don't know, too cute to care) with the COPIC markers.  The inside of the card is finished with the reverse side of the patterned paper....sweet!.... and another tag from the My Mind's Eye tag set....it's a whole sheet of Christmas stuff people, too much fun to use just one!

CELEBRATE

Another July birthday.  This one is on Sunday.

Materials:
Paper: WorldWin and Paper Cut cardstock
My Mind's Eye die cut sheet (circle)
JUST RITE stamps
Nestabilities Star
Cuttlebug "Dominoes" folder
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink "Barn Door" and "Stormy Sky"

I have been eager to get out the domino folder from my Cuttlebug collection and I finally found a little time to get a card made with it.  I embossed a 4X5.25 sheet of white and planned to ink one side, mount it and develop the card from there.  Once I inked over the raised dot side and then flipped it over, I liked the other side better.  It looks a little more distressed but coloring the dots are what I was going for.  After doing the inking I also decided to break up the sheet into three blocks for a different look.  I backed it white dark blue and finished the card with the red and dark blue inks.  A little continuation of the Red, White and Blue theme for the month I guess...haha.

STAY tuned for the next few days as I reveal the projects I made for the A*MUSE*A*PALOOZA week extravaganza
July 10-19
Or, if you just can't wait for a card/project a day over the next 6 days then stop by the store and see the cards and the new stamps in person....along with the cards and projects the other fabulous designers made, afterall, I am not the only one who is creative at Picture This in Eau Claire.

Sneak Peek party tonight from 5-7pm

Elegant Ellipse

Another card with the new Elegant Ellipse folder from Cuttlebug.  I intended to get this one to you yesterday but I HAD to wish a certain someone a HAPPY BIRTHDAY first...so, this one was put off until today.

Materials:
     Paper: WorldWin cardstock
CUTTLEBUG "Elegant Ellipse" Cut & Emboss folder and "Iron works" borders
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink: "Stormy Sky"
Gems: HERO ARTS
Pop-Dots

Simple and elegant card using just cardstock and an embossing folder!  This is the center of the embossed image from Monday's cut & emboss project.  The color swipes onto the embossed image through the folder set...it is just beautiful!  You have GOT to stop by the store to see it in action. It is too hard to explain on the blog.
