I started this card several weeks ago and didn't know how to finish it.
Then I saw what Barb R from our Special Task Force Team did with her folded card and figured I could finally finish it.
Materials:
Paper: WorldWin cardstock
My Mind's Eye
Tim Holtz Adage Tickets, Distress Ink (Peeled Paint and Shabby Shutters) and Sprocket Gears
Cuttlebug: "Just My Type", "Spot & Dots" and "Birthday"
Chipboard: Maya Road "gears"
The fold of the card is something I got off the internet somewhere. It is an A2 size card when folded up.
I cut a 12X5 1/2 inch piece of patterned cardstock and then put the folds in at the 4 and 8 inch marks across the paper. Fold the paper at those marks. The next thing I did was put the cut through the middle . Go in 2 inches from both ends to start your cuts. Now your going across the card will be at 1 3/4" and 3 3/4" and only running from 2 inches in and 2 inches from the end. See the card above for an example of what I am talking about. Once you have your cuts and folds in place there is one more set of folds that needs to go in. These are going to be at the 2 inches in and 2 inches form the end marks. Basically where the cuts start. But you are only going to put the folds in from the top to the cut and the bottom to the cuts. Then you have a flat surface to work with when you add the top layers. I embossed all the top layers with my Cuttlebug and then added the embellishments. A little complicated but the result is different than the usual card.
Give it a try.
