Seasons greetings

OK, I can't stop! I have been able to play with the A*Muse Holiday 2009 collection that we are delighted to have brought you this week during our A*MUSE*A*PALOOZA event.

Materials:
Paper: WorldWin
Stamp: A*Muse Holiday 2009 Collection
Liquid Pearls (for the snow)
NESTABILITIES Lables Trio
Ink; Judith Black
Pop-Dots

By stamping the little houses out across the bottom of a page I got the image to go the full length of the card. A little squirt of Liquid Pearls finishes off the whole effect.

Surprise and Delight!

More fun with the A*Muse collection

Materials:
Paper: WorldWin cardstocks
Ink: Tim Holtz "Walnut Stain", "Vintage Photo" and " Frayed Burlap"
Stickles: Christmas Red
STAMPS: A*Muse Holiday collection

What you can't see in this card (and what I didn't photograph) was that I started with a 12X5 1/2 piece of paper, so when I folded it into the A2 card size I had a flap left over. That I folded in and used as a gift card holder. Use what you have right? Why waste anything?

New A*Muse

So, with the new arrivals of the Holiday 2009 Christmas line from A*Muse we have had a LOT of fun playing with the stamps. Our biggest problem was tying to decide which ones to try first!!

Materials:
Paper World Win cardstock
Scribble Scrabble "Pine & Blue Spruce" paper
NESTABILITES: Labels One, Classic Square and Label Trio
Ribbon: A*muse (new cute dotted ribbon!)
Ink: Tim Holtz "Peeled Paint" and "Fired Brick"
CUTTLEBUG "Swiss Dots" embossing folder
Pop-Dots
HERO ARTS gems
and some of the A*MUSE 2009 Holiday collection stamps!!!

Lots of fun with layering on this one. After all the layers were assembled I took a my finger and dabbed it into the ink pad and just rubbed around the outside edge of the raised dots to color them a little differently. Gotta try something new once in a while!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY QUIN!!

To my youngest....

Materials:
Paper: WorldWin cardstock
Patterned paper (some really old scraps that were already cut into the candles...really really old!)
Stickles: Yellow
CUTTLEBUG: "Diamond in the Rough" , "Birthday Wishes" and "D'vine Swirl"
INK: Tim Holtz Distress ink "Broken China"

I took some random cut pieces of white to create my "cake layers", inked up my CUTTLEBUG FOLDER and then ran them through the CUTTLEBUG. I used a little ink on the edges to darken it a bit more and then layered the pieces.

Since the card is actually bigger than the usual 1/4 cut card (this one s 5X7) to make room for ALL THOSE CANDLES..... I had to put the back layer into the CUTTLEBUG sideways. Since the design on the folder is pretty random, I didn't even bother putting the bottom half through...it is covered with the cake for the most part.

The candles are cut with an older Quick Kutz die. Did I mention I did these a Long Long time ago...like 6 or 7 years ago? See, you can hold onto things forever and still end up using them!!

Enjoy the Day

Simple geometric design.
Fun papers

Materials:
Paper: World Win cardstocks
My Mind's Eye patterned papers
Stamp: Daisy Bucket
Eyelets: Making Memories
NESTABILITIES Octagon and Squares sets
Ink: Judith "Black"
Crop-o-dile (for the eyelet setting....great for late night or early morning crafting!!)

Can't see from the photo but the center squares and the sentiment are popped up with pop dots. I have been wanting to try this geometric design for a while, but couldn't find the right color combo. These double sided papers from My Mind's Eye are perfect. They have a ton of great papers to make any project pop!

Flower Pounding

The outside
The inside
up close view of the pounded flowers

Saw this HERE and had to give it a try.
Let me just say that it is MESSY.

Materials:
Paper: White Felt Paper Cut
My Minds Eye "Grandpa" line
Tim Holtz Philosophy Tags
Cuttlebug: "Ribbon Slides" dies, "Floral screen", "Border Frills" and "With Love"
NESTABILITIES : Standard Circle
Ribbon: May Arts
Stamp: HERO ARTS
PUNCH: EK Success
INK: Tim Holtz Distress Inks "Peeled Paint"

Check out the blog link above for the instructions on what I did to achieve the pressed flowers look. Other than that we are layering lots of papers pieces. I chose this double sided paper for the base of the card and for the layers because the color was perfect for the imprinted flowers. The plaid pattern has a bit of the purply color to it that works great.
The flower was an Deep Pink Impatiens and the leaves were......gasp........weeds! They looked better than the leaves from the plant, so I went with it!

Give it a try and link a posting of it here for us to see!
